Jason Mraz's single 'I'm Yours' has broken the Hot 100 record for longest running song on the chart in it's 51 year history. This means Martin has produced the longest running chart hit in the US ever!
'I'm Yours' has been in the Hot 100 charts now for 70 weeks, passing the 69 week record previously held by LeAnn Rimes for her 1998 hit 'How do I live'.
Jason Mraz told Billboard 'I had little expectations about 'I'm Yours' on the radio, but I was wrong. People just kept getting on board at both ends of the radio dial. I am still blown away, humbled by the success of my happy little hippie song'.

On the 1st of June Terefe/Whitecross released 'From Here to Helsinki, an album Martin made ten years ago with Nick Whitecross (leadsinger of Kissing The Pink and collaborator with Jem, X-press 2 and A-ha).
The duo released 'The Orange Album' in 1996 and the follow up is being finally made available. "From Here To Helsinki" was written in a taxi drivers flat in Prague in the autumn of 1999.
Martin and Nick were attending a gathering called Forum 2000, arranged by Chech President Vaclav Havel and Nobel Peace Prize winner Ellie Wiesel. Guitar strumming at the end of each day became ten songs under the influence of Prague nightlife, religion and politics. Back in London an album was recorded with Swedish producers Claes Bjorklund and Andreas Olsson.

New album from Yusuf
Published on: 08 Apr 2009
Yusuf's new album Roadsinger will be available for pre-order on iTunes from tomorrow, April 7th. Amazon.com users can already pre-order the title, which is due for release on May 5th in the US (and May 4th in the UK & Worldwide.) Martin produced five of the tracks on the album with Yusuf, including first single "Thinking 'Bout You" which is currently Record of the Week on BBC Radio 2.
One of the most influential and successful singer-songwriters of the last 40 years, Yusuf has provided the perfect salve for a troubled world--a beautifully nuanced, warm voice shielding us against harsh, turbulent times bringing songs of truth and hope. As Cat Stevens, he sold more than 60 million albums. His tender-yet-passionate style became synonymous with the folk-based singer-songwriter movement of the `70s, although his music transcended any set place and time. Hits like "Wild World," "Morning Has Broken," "Father and Son," "Peace Train," "Oh Very Young," and "Moonshadow" remain as relevant and inviting today as they did 35 years ago.
Much of roadsinger was recorded live with few overdubs, giving the album an organic, unpretentious feel. Yusuf says, "I borrowed from my own experience making `Tea for the Tillerman,' I realized that some of the best tracks were all live so I went back into recording things live again."
